My students are lovable, eager to learn, and every day is a new day. I can not imagine teaching anything but pre-kindergarten special education. My students come to class with smiles on their faces and do not let their disability define who they are. Our school is located in a low-income district and almost 100% of the students are on free or reduced lunch. With all of the budget cuts, our school supplies and learning materials budget has been greatly affected.
My Project
I have a wide variety of items in this project. My kitchen center is really old and falling apart. It is time for a new kitchen center set. I am also teaching sorting and have included a couple new sorting projects. There are also classroom supplies such as finger paint and activity daubers as well as tracing books. All of these items in this project will help meet each of my students' individual needs in one way or another. Not only will I be able to use these supplies this year but I will also use them for years to come.
