Although I haven’t met my students this year, I know I will have a beaming classroom of eager students ready to take on third grade! Third grade is an important grade and I love to watch my students learn the many new concepts and grow from the challenges they encounter.
My school is a Title I school and the students are able to receive free breakfast and lunch.
Our students come from diverse backgrounds and different home lives too. They deserve the best, and I intend to give it to them.
My Project
The materials I am asking for will help my students learn during small group settings and centers. Playing the "I Can" games is a great way to keep the kids engaged while learning reading standards, while the dice will be used for math facts and games. During centers and small groups, students enjoy the flexibility of sitting around the room with the various seating options as well as using a wireless keyboard and mouse for interactive blended learning which is displayed on the whiteboard. The folders will hold their self-assessment charts so they are able to monitor their independent fluency goals in reading and math. The dry erase items are for daily spiral review, which is important for making connections to previous learning.
Third grade is a fabulous grade with challenging new concepts.
These materials will keep my students curios, engaged, and excited to learn while I can focus on my small groups.
