My students are simply amazing! They surprise me each day and are always looking for new challenges. We have a computer lab that is shared with the entire school which means we time is limited to just once a week for an hour. Thus far I have being teaching my 3rd graders to do coding, discussions online, MS Word, Power Point presentations, navigate Blackboard, MS Word, Blogs, Padlets, Quizzez, Kahoot, Tests, collaboration, and record their own screen o matic projects.
My Project
This project will significantly help guide students in thinking on their own, motivating themselves, and enrich their learning with new experiences! Having Chromebooks will give students the tools necessary for them to develop the skills necessary for survival and challenging future job market! They will learn to navigate through blackboard learn, make power point presentations, blog, conduct research, have collaborative conversations, and more.
In a world where teachers must compete with digital devices such as ipad, iphone, tablets, and video games we must as teachers make learning more exciting.
This is done with deliberate, intentional, and purposeful learning experiences. Students need to also have buy in to their learning and it is not just for today but to become lifelong learners!
