Help me give my students the ability to create, learn, and explore today with Teacher Pay Teachers lessons, art supplies, games, and reading activities.
My students are outstanding, creative thinkers. My class is quite diverse. I have diversity in socioeconomic status, in background knowledge, in culture, as well as educationally. I have students who are voracious readers and some are still working on blending sounds to make words.
These students come to school eager to learn something more.
My current students have been affected by the pandemic academically. When my current students were in first grade they experienced soft closure. In second grade they dealt with hybrid and remote learning Fridays. I am working to try to close the educational gap.
My Project
Kids learn best when they have hands-on learning. I would like to get hands-on manipulatives to use with small groups in helping with the LETRS training I have been receiving. I would like to get decodable texts and additional resources to help me with my small groups. Teachers Pay Teachers has great resources of text for students to read. It also has many other resources I can use to help in small groups and in my class with literacy and phonics.
I also need to get additional games and activities for my students to do when they are stuck inside for indoor recess that isn't just using devices.
I would like to get games for my students to play collaboratively together so they aren't just wanting to play computer games when they are inside.
My class would like to do some really neat art projects with our Great Artist program and art supplies like these oil pastels and markers are highly needed for them to complete these projects.
