My students need 10 Chromebooks to have more access to technology when creating presentations and documents as well as utilizing individualized instructional programs such as Lexia and Dreambox.
Our diverse school is a Lighthouse School, integrating the Seven Habits of Steven Covey. We enjoy creating and nurturing relationships with each other and with various community partners. They love being active learners engaged in different ways both in and out of the classroom. Our classroom loves to learn and demonstrate learning through various technology programs and apps. We work and create in Google Suite to work on and practice our speaking, presentation, and technology skills.
We also grow our cooperative abilities and sharpen our creativity through group projects and interaction.
My Project
Creativity, Active, Fun, and Engaging are 4 important adjectives for learning!! My classroom theme revolves around a coffee shop or cafe theme. I believe that in order for students to learn, they should feel comfortable and feel safe to ask questions and share what they learn each day. We do a lot of investigating and researching, both individually and cooperatively, to foster curiosity and allow students to use creative outlets to demonstrate learning. These additional 10 Chromebooks would allow more access for more students to be able to create these projects. Having iPads is nice, but they are still not always available when sharing among the grade level and the Chromebooks are more user friendly depending on which apps or programs are being used.
