My students need spaces in our classroom where they can work comfortable at a large group table, but also be able to respect each other's personal bubbles!

My Students

My students are a lovely little bunch who are very active learners. I have numerous children in my classroom with diagnoses of anxiety, depression, and ADHD to name a few. They need safe spaces in the classroom so they can calm themselves, work with small groups, or focus individually. They take great pride in making the right choice for their learning experiences! They know that they need to choose a space that is best for their own personal learning experience. We all learn in different ways!

My Project

In an active classroom, students work with large groups, small groups, pairs and individually! In first grade, students are still learning about respecting each other's personal bubbles while still engaging in classroom actives at their home-base table!

We learn in a small classroom, so space is at a premium!

With this special shaped flower table, six (or fewer) students can sit comfortably with their own work areas, but still be able to engage in meaningful conversation with their peers.

Add the added bonus of a whiteboard, and students can have modeled math work, try out spelling of different words - the possibilities are endless!
