My Students

I teach 2nd grade in a small school in Lynchburg, Tennessee. The students here come to school excited and eager to learn! Some even come to school excited and full of energy, which makes it hard to sit in a chair all day and stay focused. I recently added flexible seating into my classroom. My students have not been to school yet to see the new seating options, but I know they will be excited to see all the options they have to choose from.

My Project

I recently added flexible seating to my classroom. When I did this I added a rug so the students could learn in different areas of the classroom.

I would like to add an easel to this area so we can have lessons at the carpet.

By doing this it will allow students to move around and stay engaged throughout the day. I think that an easel would also be a good way for students to practice spelling words or math problems while working in small groups. Since the easel is shorter than our board the easel will allow the students to come up and participate in our lessons.
