My pre-kindergarten classroom consists of 18 students. I have a blended classroom and many of my students are at-risk students. Our school is a Title I school. Our school is closed until May 18th and while closed is providing free breakfast and lunches for all children ages 1 to 18 in our school district.
My prekindergarten students need fun and creative ways to enhance their Learning from home experiences.
My prek students are working on learning basic academic, communication, fine motor, and social emotional skills all while learning from home. This project will provide students with materials for home to work on letters, sounds, reading, counting, sorting, numbers, communication and social skills. These are skills that my students will need to be on track to kindergarten this fall!
My Project
My students have been learning from home since March 16th, 2020. I know how much of an impact it has on myself as I teach prek online. I can only image how this is impacting my families. I have pulled resources and materials from my classroom to send packets of materials to my students and their families. Your donation to my project will provide materials to keep my students learning throughout this prek year and into the kindergarten year. Each student will receive a Kindergarten Transition kit to keep them learning at home! I believe that these transition to Kindergarten reading, literacy and math kits will make such an impact on my students and keep them on track for Kindergarten!
