My students are eager and excited learners. The students that I have this year have selected to be a part of our virtual learning academy until at least January. For a variety of reasons, their families have decided that participating in a hybrid or face to face learning situation would not be the best for them this year. These students come to zoom every day excited and ready to learn. I have the full range of academic abilities in my class, from EC to AIG. These students have missed almost a complete year due to the pandemic and weather related long-term breaks in learning.
My Project
The materials that this project would provide will allow my students to learn from home more efficiently. Their families have enrolled them in our districts virtual academy for a variety of reasons during this pandemic. These students work hard and deserve the best!
I want to do numerous book studies with my students and want to provide them the opportunity to have the book in their hands for at least one of them.
The copies of Bud not Buddy are included for this reason! The other books were chosen based on the students and what they like to read.
These "learn from home" kits as I am calling them, will be given to students in a bag with their name on it. This will not only allow them to have a space to keep things, but also make them feel important.
