My Students

My students come from diverse backgrounds. Many of the families I work with have no money to purchase school supplies for their children, so I try to provide as many materials as possible for the classroom. I have many families who are new to the country and speak little English or no English at all. For some students who are new to the country, they have had no formal schooling.

I have students who come from a variety of circumstances.

I have encountered many students who have experienced homelessness and other extenuating circumstances.

My students are very bright and want to learn. My goal is to expose my students to as many hands-on and engaging learning opportunities as possible.

My Project

My students need ink pads, blank books, and play dough mats for independent learning area time.

We need ink pads to go with our stampers for creating sight words.

We also need blank books for our writing area. Students can create their own stories as well as practice letter formation. Play dough mats will be used for our fine motor area. Students can use play dough with the letter mats to strengthen fine motor skills.

These activities can be completed independently and will keep students engaged.

These areas will help strengthen skills as well as make learning area time fun for my kindergartners.
