Help me give my students access to books that are near or on their reading level. Also, the use of a Belkin splitter and earbuds will enable students to hear stories in groups.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My classroom consists of students with various reading abilities. In order to differentiate to meet this challenge, we need supplies of reading material at various levels. Due to our school being a Title I school, many students face disadvantages in learning. Approximately three-fourths of our student receive free or reduced-price lunch.
All of my students enjoy doing hands-on activities, especially those that are related to science.
They enjoy doing interactive notebook activities as well. Reading and math interactive activities also inspire them to make great effort.
My Project
Having these new books, earphones, and headphone splitter will allow my students to read independently at their own grade level. They will also listen to books at their ability as small group. This will be followed by discussions and group projects.
Gaining better comprehension through audible texts for responding to text will be enhanced, and aid in discussions shared among the groups.
All students will be afforded access to fluency of complex text, as well. Students' motivation to read for pleasure will also improve as they interact with audible books.
My students are eager to get more books in the classroom that they can choose independently and read using listening devises. This would enable more than one group to hear text read aloud at a time.
