Learning And Growing With Technology
My students need a projector and document camera to bring math to life and utilize technology in the classroom.
Our school is opening in a brand new building in a few days. Unfortunately, there was asbestos discovered during construction and that caused significant cost overruns that will not permit us to provide our students with the basic technology needed to engage students today.
My students are wonderful bright 6th grade scholars who face many significant challenges commonly found in most under served communities.
Our school is committed to a high-quality, college prep elementary and middle school experience for those students most in need. My students are inquisitive, interesting and eager to exceed expectations. They learn math by actively participating in classroom lessons and the use of technology is critical in ensuring those students who need it most will have the ability to connect with real life applications in an interesting and fun way.
I am requesting a document reader that will allow students the ability to see me solving problems as they watch and work with me. For struggling students this is critical because it provide them with the ability to work step by step with images they have in front of them. In addition, an LCD projector will enable me to project my lessons from a personal computer bringing to life classroom presentations with video and audio.
Your donation will directly improve classroom instruction and delivery to engage students in math and improve their academic success.
Math for many students can be challenging and any resource that adds to a student's ability to see modeling will improve learning and engagement.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
