This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach a group of sweet, generous and kind-hearted students.
They are in first grade in a Title I school, and many of our students have economic and linguistic challenges.
My students love to learn! With the coronavirus pandemic, we are turning to a new way to learn. We have our whole world changed. I want to provide my students home the same experiences I do in the classroom. I sent home learning packets but they need more supplies where they can learn and be creative.
My Project
I want to send my students workbooks, activity pads, Legos, Spot-It games, and arts and crafts kit to learn and create at home with their families since my school is closed but learning continues due to an unprecedented circumstance in public health crisis situation. I would like to send them by mail to families.
I want my students at home to be able to keep practicing what we have learned at school so they will be prepared for second grade in the Fall.
The workbooks and activity pads are great ways for my students to practice many skills in 1st grade when school is closed but learning continues. These workbooks and activity pads have everything needed to keep the my students' brain working! They will use their creativity with the art kits. The Legos and Spot-It games will help them develop problem solving and mathematical thinking.
The supplies I am requesting will make a huge difference in my students' learning and creativity while at home.
