Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from diverse backgrounds and immerse themselves daily in the cultures of their peers through learning two languages (English and Spanish).
Our students strive for academic excellence in both languages in all academic subjects which makes them very unique.
Each child brings something special to the classroom through their experiences and areas of expertise. They make our school an exceptional place to be through their determination to be successful academically while embracing the many cultures that come together within our walls.
My Project
As we prepare for a new and different school year, a whole new approach needs to be taken to keep students safe and classrooms as clean as possible.
Have clean and purified air is absolutely essential to helping to create a safe learning space for students.
Have air purifiers consistently running within the classroom will help in limiting the potential spread of germs.
Students will no longer be able to share materials or use communal items within class like before. Students need access to items such as personal tissues, sanitizer, pencils, and lead within the classroom. In order to ensure that students don't accidentally share materials or grab something which doesn't belong to them, the waterproof labels will be a great way to label items with individual student names. Additionally, since the label is waterproof, items can be sanitized regularly to keep up high safety standards for all. It is my hope as a teacher, that providing items such as these will provide some essentials but also help in making students feel safer in class.
