Learning about Geography and Science That Is Often Forgotten
My students need matter match ups, rocks and soil learning, animals match ups, weather match ups, United States grab and play game, U.S.A map puzzle, and U.S.A. map floor puzzle.
Preparing our future citizens is important in our country. We need students who receive a solid education in social studies and science. My high-poverty students need the materials required to push them to a higher level to learn geography and science.
My students are all boys in second grade.
They attend a high-poverty charter school in Florida. This school has been designed to not only meet the needs of these struggling students academically but to also give character development as part of the curriculum.
My Project
These geography and science resources will inspire my students to learn more about social studies and science and to give them a better idea of how important it is to learn these things. The materials will not only give an abundance of information about the states and science facts, but they are all hands on activities which my all boys class needs.
This project will enrich my students understanding of the United States geography and earth science.
My students need hands on activities. These boys come from high-poverty homes where there is little attention given to social studies and science. In our school we want to give our boys the greatest chance of academic success and these extra materials will help us achieve that goal.
