The first and second graders are a very active group. With a blend of two grade levels the dynamic of our class has a wide spread of learners with different abilities and needs. These students are very visual learners, and enjoy working through a hands-on approach.
Our school is a place where all learners are welcome, and we have a built a sense of community together this year.
This group of students has been working hard to be in charge of their learning, and making responsible choices.
My team is excited to teach our students about the butterfly lifecycle, and we need visuals for the stages of the butterfly life cycle. We also would like for our students to be able to see what happens to real caterpillars when they undergo metamorphosis to become beautiful butterflies!
Our students are very hands-on and visual learners.
Having a butterfly growing kit, learning resources and caterpillars will allow them the opportunity to see first hand the butterfly life cycle. We are certain that being able to raise and release these butterflies will be an engaging way for our students to explore science and the world around them! We cannot wait for our students to be able to watch, explain, draw, and explore the butterfly lifecycle!
