My Students

Students that attend my school come from diverse backgrounds. Many of my students are English Language Learners and many come from low-income households. In order to level the playing field and to allow all my students to succeed in middle school and beyond, they need access to technology.

I strive to give my students the most interactive and hands-on learning opportunities in my classroom.

Science concepts are made real through investigation and exploration. Students have fun while learning the content.

My Project

Students have a hard time visualizing the atom and elements. The hands-on model of the atom will help them conceptualize the particles in the atom. The book of elements helps students realize that elements are a part of their everyday lives. The periodic table is the most up to date, with the elements that were named in the last year.

Students will benefit from the hands-on and visual aspects of these materials for the atom and periodic table.

Color and real-world applications help students get the chemistry concepts. Students will be able to interact with electrons, protons and neutrons and build an atom from the periodic table. They will also gain scientific literacy through reading about the elements.
