This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Do you know the saying "ABC's... It's as easy as 1,2,3?" Well it is true! Kindergarteners can learn their ABC's easily by using hands-on and engaging learning centers.
Most of my students come into Kindergarten knowing very little.
The majority of my students are unable to identify any alphabet letters at the beginning of the year. It is my goal to have all my students master their letter identification by the end of the first quarter of the school year. I am able to achieve this by using engaging, hands-on learning centers.
My Project
Every school day I have a 60 minute literacy block where my students are able to work in small groups practicing the objectives from the week. The beginning of the school year, my learning objective mostly consists of being able to identify all the alphabet letters. I achieve this by using fun center activities. My students need hands-on center activities to help them learn their alphabet letters. All of the centers on this project are fun and engaging that will help my students master all of their letters.
This project will help all my eager students master letter identification at the beginning of the school year.
I am always looking for fun center activities that my students will be excited to use and I feel that all of these centers will do that.
