Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a Special Education Teacher that is absolutely blessed to work with 59 kiddos who are English Language Learners that qualify for free lunch because of their socioeconomic status. Despite the many challenges that my students face in their lives, my goal is to provide an environment that is fun, comfortable and full of meaningful learning experiences every single day for every single beautiful child.
My students are kindhearted, energetic, and determined.
They deserve the best. From the minute they walk into school, I focus on their potential growth. While I may not be able to control their lives at home, I can certainly shape their experiences during the school day. By doing this in a creative and positive way, I am hoping to inspire all learners to be beautiful members of society and to continue on a path of academic excellence. Watch out future-these kids will amaze you!
My Project
The standing desks, wobble chairs, yoga balls, and bean bag chairs will be offered to students, so they may work where they know they will be most comfortable, motivated, and able to do their best learning.
The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of and competency in academics in the most differentiated, motivating and meaningful way.
The donations will improve the lives of my students at school by reducing the amount of behavioral issues, because I will be able to provide the appropriate stimulation that my students need to focus and learn through voice and choice. The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." I know exactly where everything will go. We just need your help in getting everything through our door!
