Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach a lovely group of 7th grade scholars who face difficulty in their home life, school is their safe place. These materials will help keep them motivated and engaged in their learning by establishing a space of creativity and encouragement. The majority of my scholars are ELL and/or SPED and having wiggle chairs, incentives, and craft supplies will help them connect their learning. With middle school, many kids are beginning to find themselves and need a space where they feel safe and heard. By having more books on my bookshelf, fidget toys, and a special place for them to sit when they are not feeling ready to learn, it will help encourage them to engage in the classroom and make them feel like there is a place for them.
