My Students

My students are fun and happy. They LOVE to help each other. In fact they want to help each other more than they want to do their own work. (Silly fun kids.) They have the best senses of humor. They are also kind and very outgoing. Their abilities range from K level to 3rd grade level, so they have a wide range of skills.

My 1st graders have a super competitive side.

They love to play games and win. We have some type of competition going on all the time. Right now, we are trying to help each other pass off all of the first grade sight words. So we have been graphing our growth and celebrating each other.

I would like to buy some more leveled readers for my classroom. My students are blowing through the books that I already have, and the books are getting tattered. New books would be fantastic!!! I am anxious to keep the competition going and also keep the growing goingl

My Project

Grade 1 is a crucial year for reading. There is so much learning and growth that needs to take place during this school year.

My leveled books are getting tattered and I would like to begin replacing and rebuilding my leveled library.

I have a smaller supply of level E and level G books, so I am wanting to start with these 2 levels.

Reading is everything. Please help me provide good books for my classroom. This project includes 2 levels of 20 books each to begin rebuilding my classroom library. I looked at the AKJ Education website and instantly found what I was looking for.
