Learn to Love Reading

Help me give my students new and exciting books to read for small group reading instruction!

My Students

My students LOVE to read. I meet with small groups daily to discuss a book that they are reading together as a group. Sometimes I have to remind them to put the book down because they are so excited to read!

Our guided reading library needs some new books and I would love to be able to add books that pique student interest.

I hope that all students can look forward to reading groups as much as my class does.

My Project

Students have a lot on their minds and need a safe place to escape. Books are a great way for them to learn and improve their literacy skills while also giving them a chance to explore and imagine while reading new stories. I want reading to be exciting and fun for them, and not an added burden. Having new, interesting, and relevant books will help them to get excited about reading.

Our school's guided reading library has lots of great books, but many of them are outdated and need to be replaced.
