My students are creative, thoughtful and full of life! They are all at various levels of abilities, but each and every one of them needs to be challenged to their own full potential. They absolutely love hands-on activities, engaging centers, and challenges. They come to school each day ready to discover and learn new things in order to grow both personally and academically. Their little minds and little hearts are ready to be filled. Consequently, they truly win my heart every year!
My Project
Kindergarten students love to learn! Classroom center time is a terrific way to reach students at all different levels. When you are teaching in small group settings, you have a greater ability to challenge each student at their needed level. The opportunity of having many different hands-on center choices allows the students to be actively engaged. They will have many different chances of learning new things all while they are “playing” at centers.
Center time is very important with both math and reading.
It gives the student time to expand and make concrete the concept of the lesson you were teaching. Hence, in a kindergarten classroom, an exciting center time is a must.
