Welcome to the best learning age-2nd grade! I have a lively classroom of 9 boys and 8 girls. My students love to learn about science through hands-on learning. We are learning the value of money through the use of job completion, rewards, and consequences. The love of learning my students have is contagious and exciting. Many times they don't even realize they're reading and learning because we have so much fun.
My students love learning in person and have had the opportunity to be in class all year!
I work well with students who don't have opportunities outside of school, this is the main reason for this project-to provide opportunities for students can carry the rest of their lives!
My Project
Students earn money through each subject area and tasks they are assigned to complete inside the school. We learn coins and dollar combinations to use in the school store. Students learn from each other and help others to count their money to spend at the store.
Students will feel a sense of accomplishment when they earn class money, save their money and buy their choice of reward at the school store held once a month.
My students work so hard and are learning the value of money and financial responsibility through feeling a sense of pride, hard work, and seeing the fruits of their labors.
