This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are creative and curious learners. Despite all the challenges coming their way (some are English Language Learners and others receive Special Education services), they continue to amaze me and make me proud with every milestone they reach. I am honored to learn with them and from them daily.

My Project

My students represent our future! They are the tech-savvy younger generation! I am requesting an iPad to introduce them to the concept of computer science and to teach them how to code using children friendly platforms such as Scratch.

My scholars will learn about computer science and coding!

These are skills they will need to compete in the future as technology continues to play a vital role in our lives now.

Through computer science and coding, students will be exposed to a new way of thinking which will strengthen their abilities to problem-solve, think critically, and even creatively!
