My Students

My students are kindergartners in a Title 1 public school, located in upstate New York, with 90% poverty rate. As a special education teacher pushing into inclusive classrooms, I am constantly looking for ways to support the learning of all of the students. After working remotely for the first seven weeks of the school year many of our students recently students recently returned to the classroom for in person instruction. They are coming to school full of energy, excited and eager to learn.

They are given time each school day to explore hands on educational activities at their individual seats.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, materials are currently not being shared. Each student has their own bin of materials that they use. These materials are cleaned and disinfected frequently.

My Project

Our kindergarten students love to build interesting structures during their free time! These 3D magnetic building sets will engage our kindergarten students' minds by fusing together math, science, and creativity. They can use the colorful tiles to create flat or three dimensional structures. I will use these tiles as a teaching tool to help our students develop important math, science, spatial and tactile skills!

Our students will love to create, learn and explore with these magna tiles!

Anything they can dream, they can create! They will be perfect for their little hands to build interesting structures!
