Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Bright and eager is this group of Transitional Kindergartners and they are ready to learn. They enter the classroom, full of expectation, excited to see their friends and explore activities waiting for them. For many, this is their first school experience.

Most of my students are second language learners, receiving free or reduced-price lunch.

This year, my hope for each child is to make friendships, build self-confidence, and have positive classroom experiences.

My Project

My students love to do puzzles in the classroom. It is an engaging, fun activity for students to develop many skills such as fine motor, problem solving, spacial awareness, language, and social skills. The pride a student has on their face when they show me that they put the puzzle together on their own or with a friend is so precious.

The puzzles can teach about the world they encounter every day.

I am requesting puzzles about the four seasons. They show pictures of activities and weather associated with each season. Also, around the town puzzles of city, town, and farm that have different shapes of buildings. And last, life cycle puzzles of trees, frogs, chickens, and ants.

These puzzles will be new and complete sets for my students to learn through play.
