Several of my students have learning disabilities and have not had the opportunity to discover the excitement and the joy of reading a good story.
I am a general education kindergarten teacher at public school in Florida.
I have students with learning disabilities. I know that the leap frog system would help them learn one on one correspondence,to recognize sight words and will teach them fluency in their reading.
My Project
It will change their lives by teaching them imagination, it will teach them that they can be many things and see many things through books. My students are just learning to read and the Leap Frog system would be an additional resource for the students. To help my students increase their reading ability, help promote their interest in books and to create a better understanding of phonemic awareness I am asking for a Tag School Reader pack of pens( they come in a four pack)and Tag School Books. Many of the books promote phonemic awareness and others are for pure enjoyment of reading. There are many books in this Tag System and I would greatly appreciate any of support I could get in funding this project.
I purchased one book and pen for my own children and realized what a terrific resource this was to help in their reading ability.
I would like to give my students the same opportunity to learn as my children were given.
