Do you love technology? Do you love reading? My kindergarten students are learning to read and are loving it! I want to provide them with as many opportunities as I can to learn to read. I want to reach all of my students. This project will help my "technology lovers" learn to read.
I teach kindergarten to 24 wonderful, eager to learn students.
I teach full day kindergarten at a public school in Indianapolis. My students are very important to me. I strive to find new materials to help my students on a daily basis. I am constantly trying to find new ways to motivate them to learn.
My Project
I recently received 4 LeapFrog Tag Reader systems to help my students learn to read and continue to love to read. The Tag Reader is a new form of technology that my students have flipped over! The LeapFrog Tag Reader reads stories to students. It also has an interactive feature where students can answer questions and play games. They can even touch words and it will read individual words to them. Now, my students need more books to use with the LeapFrog Tag Readers! I am requesting 6 sets of phonemic awareness books to help with important kindergarten skills and standards. This project will help with reading words, rhyming, phonics, phonemic awareness, letter sounds, letter recognition, fluency, and comprehension skills, just to name a few!
