Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are the happiest, most energetic and excited learners. These students are 98% low income and all English language learners. They are hard-workers who have struggles daily and work through them as a team.
My students are enthusiastic about Personalized Learning and flexible seating!
They are taking charge of their own learning and planning their own projects and are looking for more independent places to work. They have made great strides in their work with personalized learning and hope to continue to do so.
My Project
My students would make use of the carpets and many seating options to make a comfortable shared hallway area to work independently and collaboratively and learn from one another. They will be able to read independently and stretch out on the comfy blow up chairs. They can also work with their fellow scholars on the table and cushions on group projects.
The Leap Personalized Learning Challenge is a wonderful motivator for supporting my students in their new student-led journey by giving them a dynamic student-centered space.
They will be excited to use their new comfortable, colorful and creative space! #LEAPInnovatED2018
