My Project

By allowing 45 Spanish students to hold this exciting level 3 novel in their hands, they will be able to read aloud in pairs, small groups, or as a whole class and simultaneously enjoy accompanying illustrations. We can pause reading to allow students to share their own parallel life experiences of how they make decisions with their friends. Students can relate to the main character's challenges as Liliana discovers that everyone has skeletons in their own closets. While reading, students will acquire new vocabulary and structures in their second language. Of course, at times the students will read silently. Absent students will be able to check out a book to take home and keep up with the class.
