My school is a unique and wonderful community! It is a dual language immersion charter school, where students learn 50% of their academics in English and 50% in either French, Mandarin, or Spanish. We use a constructivist approach, in which students actively build understanding through engaging experiences.

My Project
I believe that one of the biggest ways to increase student motivation and achievement is to provide students with tools to help them understand and assess their learning.
Some of the ways I will be using the iPad and Apple Pencil include administering assessments, having students track their progress toward learning targets and goals, and communicating with families about student learning.
One specific use I envision involves students using screen capture apps to document and explain how they solve math problems. Families can access these videos at home, which will allow them to see the way concepts are being taught in school.
