My Project

I am the Reading Specialist at Hackberry Elementary and also facilitate a group of student leaders called House Council. House Council consists of 4th and 5th grade students that went through a lengthy process to be chosen including writing an expository piece explaining why they should be chosen, obtaining recommendation letters from two teachers, and recommendation letters from two people in the community. They lead our school through charity fundraisers for our community, student pep rallies, and helping their peers and teachers in any way they can.

As we continue to grow these student leaders within our school, we need funding to purchase student copies of the book, What Do You Stand For?

For Kids: A Guide to Building Character in order to complete a book study during the 2023 Spring Semester.
