I teach the most incredible children every day! They are thoughtful, creative, and brave. My students set goals and are highly motivated to accomplish those goals. My students love learning, and love helping others.
My students are leaders every day.
The students in my classroom are future engineers, scientists, teachers, doctors, mechanics, therapists, architects, politicians; just to name a few. My students are taught to dream big, take chances, make mistakes, and try again. They are the future, and I am lucky to learn from them and be their teacher.
My Project
Technology plays an important role in my classroom. Giving my students access to more technology, through the use of Chromebooks, will help them to enhance critical thinking and literacy skills. We currently only have two working Chromebooks in our classroom. While we have done our best to make do with what we have, it has presented challenges when 24 students want to access the internet at the same time.
Creating 21st century learners, requires access to 21st century technology.
Chromebooks will allow my students to access information found on the internet, and will help them to discover more about the world around them. My students will be able to practice math facts, access online libraries with over 10,000 books, go on virtual field trips, research different topics, and improve their computer usage skills. They will also become more tech savvy and develop skills that will benefit them in their future careers.
My goal is to give every student access to technology, in a safe and educational environment. This gift will help me to provide this for my students.
