At this point I have not had the pleasure to meet my new students, but I know that each and every one of them are going to be leaders in some way. One way to help my students discover the leader in themselves is through reading. I want to give each one of my students the opportunity to read a variety of books from different genres. Through their reading of literature from the different genres, my students will find the leader in themselves, discover new things, places, and ideas. The majority of my students will have never ventured out past their home town and are from low socioeconomic families. Through reading, these students will get to experience the world around them and discover a world of opportunities out there waiting for them. I am asking for help to create a classroom library consisting of the different genres and topics. It is my hope that my classroom library will help my students see the leader in themselves.
By donating to our classroom library, you will be helping my students to discover the leader in themselves. Everyone is a leader; as a teacher, it is my job to help them to discover the leader in themselves. I feel one way is through literature. I want to provide my students with a variety of books in different genres to help them discover the world, new things, ideas, and experiences that will lead them to discover the leader within, as well as the world around them. Please help me begin to build a classroom library full of adventure, ideas, culture, history, mystery, and fun. Thank you in advance for helping my wonderful students to become leaders in reading.
