My students need a United States Government Resource Box and Literature Library which will enable them to explore and deepen their understanding of how constitutional laws and the United States system of government works.

Our charter school at Central Palm is a member of the Charter Schools USA family of schools. Charter schools are tuition-free public schools of choice, but each charter school is governed independently. Unlike traditional public schools, every charter school must demonstrate success, or it will lose its charter. Our charter school is open to all school-age students who reside in Palm Beach County, Florida. It is a Title I School with most students on the receiving end of Free/Reduced Price Lunch, Breakfast on the Go, After Care, and/or Tutorial Services.
Our school has high expectations with a focus on college and career readiness from primary grades through high school.
Teachers have the ability to use various resources to deliver the curriculum in a way that best meets the needs of their students. Every child is unique, therefore the school will create a Personalized Learning Plan (PLP) for every student, which is designed to track an individual student’s strengths, weaknesses, and cumulative progress in attaining a year’s worth of learning at a specific grade level. Most importantly, students are the producers of the plan, faced with the responsibility of understanding their data and making good decisions as learners.
Civics Education encompasses deepening student understanding and knowledge of the system of government and constitutional law in the United States of America. The study of Civics Education prepares youth to be active citizen participants in our system of self-government, because the civic responsibilities and duties of each citizen were assumed to reach beyond simply just casting a vote.
A United States Government Resource Box and Literature Library will engage my students in mindful and relevant learning center related activities, and enable them to explore and deepen their understanding and knowledge of how constitutional laws and the system of government works.
