Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
I love our students because they are special and unique in their learning abilities. Our students are eager to learn and grow socially, emotionally, and experientially.
The items I am requesting it will be put to great use by our students as they learn vital life skills for their future.
Additionally, providing access to these items will put a smile on our student's faces, and it will be a great way for them to apply these life skills outside of the school setting. I envision our students cooking, making hot beverages, and learning every day essential life skills such as being able to socialize and self-soothe.
For most of our students, this classroom will be their last experience with access to transitional learning. My goal is to provide our students with the emotional, social and intellectual tools needed to achieve success in life--on a personal level, an interpersonal level, and within their community and work places.
With your generous support, I am hoping to create a space where students will be able to gain a sense of independence and are prepared for the real word.
