Help me give my students the Life of Fred series that inspires of love a math through reading!

Laugh out loud hilarious and educational! No other math books are like these. Each text is written in the style of a novel with a humorous story line. Each section tells part of the life of Fred Gauss and how, in the course of his life, he encounters the need for the math and then learns the methods. Although my primary focus is math, these books expose them to multiple courses of study.
The students enjoy exploring while learning and can be found creating special projects that show their advance knowledge of solving math equations.
My students are bright-eyed and eager to learn higher order mathematical problems. These students enjoy assignments that requires connecting math to literacy study. Despite residing in a low-income community, these scholars are showing gains on end of the unit math tests. As eager beavers, these students are motivated, and their ability level matches affluent students across the district.
If the book series “Life of Fred” is fully funded, I may never again hear the question which many math students have: "When are we ever going to use this stuff?" or "Math is boring!" My scholars will gain a greater understanding of the why behind the math.
Students, after reading the “Life of Fred” series, will become confident with their math skills and the fear factor will decrease when faced with the unfamiliar.
Students will recognize that math is essential to all aspects of life. Most importantly each student, through reading new books, will expand their knowledge and the way they see the world.
Students will show improvement in both literacy and mathematics as they correlate both subject towards clear development and knowledge of math. Students' learning will improve as they demonstrate their ability to learn math through reading for comprehension. Additionally, students will create hands-on units that match their zest for learning and demonstrates their new knowledge of both math and literacy skills.
