We have amazing young learners that love to laugh and learn. All of our students visit the Media Center to check out books to read. They enjoy checking out their own books from the Media Center to read independently or take home and read with their families. They also love to hear stories read aloud to them. Mo Willems writes extraordinary texts for students that make them absolutely laugh out loud whether they are being read to them, or if they're reading to themselves.
My Project
"Should I share my ice cream?" Kindergarten students are eager to share their opinion on whether or not Elephant should share his ice cream with Piggie. And when poor elephant's ice cream is melted...they can empathize with him. Students use thinking skills as they pertain to manners and friendship and 'germs'! Kindergarten students love to Laugh Out Loud at books! Mo Willems' books are perfect for our kindergartners that are learning to read. The text is appropriate and hilariously FUN to read. Unfortunately, our kindergartners have "loved" our Mo Willems books so much, they are falling apart. Can you help us get some new ones for our library?
