My students are the best! They are from Massachusetts and attend a small neighborhood elementary school. The school that they attend is located in a district that receives Title I funding. Title I funding is received from the state based on the socioeconomic needs of many of our students. Our student population is extremely diverse and our students have a lot to offer. In the past two or three years, there has been a large influx of ELL students in our district. These students bring with them amazing experiences, interesting cultures, and the tenacity to achieve success. Any funding would be greatly appreciated to help make our students' learning experience the best it can be.
My Project
My students need supplies and technology that will stand the test of time! In 2018, students are more tech-savvy than ever before. In response to this, I am requesting an iPad. An iPad provides endless opportunities for learning. In addition to an iPad, I am requesting a protective iPad case (so that the iPad lasts a long time)! A laminating machine & pouches will make sure that my hands-on center activities and learning games are more durable. In addition to adding durability, lamination is great for the environment. It reduces the need to print resources off more than once. Learning resources that are laminated last much longer than resources that are not! Please consider providing these durable technological resources for my 5th grade classroom!
