My Students

The Dance Ensemble is a middle school dance group. This year's dance ensemble consists of 19 fifth through seventh graders who auditioned at the beginning of the year. We're a small but mighty group right now and we hope to grow in numbers.

The dance ensemble students perform for numerous school-wide and community events, attend trips, and receive additional training from guest artists.

These students are held accountable to be seen as leaders within our school and must maintain high academic grades and appropriate behavior at all times.

My Project

The apparel that I am requesting will be distributed to the school dance ensemble members to wear during rehearsal, recorded performances, and virtual performances this school year. The school's dance ensemble performs at school and community events such as the Hispanic Heritage Celebration, Black History Month Celebrations, Haitian Flag Day, Winter and Spring Arts Festivals, and community parades.

These events have been held in a hybrid method so far this year, and the students will be in need of costumes.

With your help, the members of my school's dance ensemble will be able to perform with the same pride and pristine appearance they always have, even during these difficult times. Especially since Covid has been making us have to think out the box when it comes to fundraising.
