This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
I teach the most amazing 3-6 year old pre-k and k students. It would be so much easier for the sweet students to create their art work with larger materials. It would be so much easier to hold large pencils. We have normal size crayons but they are hard to hold and tend to break easily as young students are learning to manipulate the art materials. The colored pencil sharpeners would be a great way for students to learn to care for their materials properly. They would also be able to improve their hand dexterity.
