Help me give my students a project that can personally help with visual impairment special needs. This project is filled with hands-on fun that can help with learning when technology may be too difficult to use.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Although this is a hard time, I get joy through hearing from my families that they are doing what they can at home with what they have, in order to continue the learning and keep their young ones engaged. None of us saw the end of the year being like this, so I really want to do what I can to help families end the year strong at home. My families enjoy the classroom website I have created and they say it give the students a piece of normal to depend on.
I would love to send one of my students visual special need materials to help her learn at home.
This project will include large print flash cards, sensory numbers, giant tracing numbers and letters, and play foam shape and learn alphabet set, and more. A lot of her materials were left in the classroom and I want to make sure that her family has fun, hands-on materials to help her learn, but are also big enough in size to benefit her learning. This project would mean a lot for her and her family as technology can be hard to look at while distant learning.
My Project
This project is to tend to the needs of a student that has a visual impairment in my classroom. I worry about the struggles of distant learning being mainly virtual learning, and I want to make sure that her and her family have enough resources to continue her learning at home. I also give ideas that include learning with house hold items that they may already have. This project will help to give some large print materials that are fun, and hands-on to help the family during this hard time.
