My Students

With the current technology needs in many areas of today's world many students are finding it hard to keep up with school because they do not have access to technology at home.

The school is a majority minority school.

More than 50% of the population are minorities. The students have a range of socioeconomic backgrounds as it is in an urban area. The students in my class are are on track to graduate and will likely enter the military, community college or a university upon graduation.

My Project

By providing a laptop station in my classroom students will be able to come in before school or during lunch in order to catch up with online course content. It will also give them a way to actively track their grades in hopes to maintain better grades thought the school year and not have to play "catch up" when a quarter is coming to an end.

My students need a way to stay on track with their classes to make sure they graduate.

By providing them a place to access course content and their grades they can monitor their progress, keep their grades up and stay on track.
