My Students

I have the privilege of teaching English to 10th graders in a small but amazing district in Houston PA. My students are hard working and determined. Being a small district with less than 600 in the Junior/Senior High, I often refer to them as the busiest students I know. It is not uncommon for the football player and cheerleader to preform the halftime show with the band. The captain of the soccer team may play another sport or two in the same season. These same kids belong and are active in the clubs we sponsor, hold part time jobs, and do community service. We may be small, but we are mighty. Like any district we have our haves and have nots and with this project I would like to levers the playing field within our school and with neighboring schools.

My Project

It is my goal to have our school become a 1-1 device school. With the integration of laptops like the Dell Inspiron, we can enhance the academic experience for all students in grades 7-12. Having laptops in their hands will allow them to be the most well-rounded 21st Century Students.

In addition to the many things we can implement in the classroom, this technology and it's programs will allow us to prepare our students for all post secondary endeavors.

Giving every student technology allows all students the same opportunities, helps level the academic field, and invests in every students' future.
