Laptops for Little Learners During COVID-19 and Beyond
Help me give my students access to laptops for virtual learning from home.
My 20 special education students make me laugh every day! They are funny, caring, eager to learn, and have varying needs based on their disabilities. Their disabilities range from autism, specific learning disability, developmentally delayed, and other health impairments. They have varying access to electronics outside of school and during this COVID-19 pandemic. My students range in age from 4-11. They love technology and computer programs and educational web activities are really engaging to them! They all benefit from technology!
The two laptops that are purchased through this project will provide students access to virtual learning during and after COVID-19. Laptops will be checked out to parents and virtual activities will be given to students. The laptops will not only be used for virtual learning during COVID-19 but for years to come!
Each laptop will be checked out to a family who does not have a computer at home.
The students will then have access to programs that have previously been purchased by Spotsylvania County Schools. I will be able to track their progress from these programs when they access these programs from home or school.
