My students are creative thinkers with a love for all things technology. They are inquisitive, forward-thinking, and motivated for a 21st Century education. Unfortunately, they are also attending a school within a district of high poverty and very limited funding and resources for technology and classroom supplies.
Our classroom does not have enough of the technological resources needed to provide them with the engaging, creative experience they deserve.
Today's students thrive with independence and project-based experiences in the classroom. These students are living in a fast-paced, technological world, and they have to be proficient in areas beyond the basic worksheet. They are innovative and dynamic!
My Project
Students will use laptops to complete and submit a variety of reading, writing, and research projects online in ELA, science, and social studies. They will be able to submit assignments through Google classroom and interact with one another in this online forum.
It is a technological and interactive world.
These computers will increase student engagement, excitement for learning, and provide a world of new resources at their fingertips. Resistant writers are often less anxious when they can type and submit work electronically.
My students are capable and creative individuals who thrive when they have multiple opportunities to display their learning. They love the choice of their learning and often exceed expectations when they can take ownership of their learning through a variety of interactive and online formats.
