Mrs. Da Rocha from Orlando FL is requesting computers & tablets through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need laptops! Many of our programs are on computers. Several students do not have access to a computer outside of school, so it is imperative they are able to use these programs during school.

My students are a very diverse group. I have students that are well above reading level and students who are beginning language learners. They are a lively group, who love books, technology, and physical activity! These students come from a lower income area, and most of their school supplies and personal needs are met by the school. The majority of my classroom materials are paid for by me in order to ensure the students' academic success. This means there is little money leftover for technology. In the ever-growing global society we live in, it is crucial these students have access to computers and are able to interact with them daily. Without having adequate knowledge in technology, these students will enter middle school at a disadvantage to their peers.
My students need laptops. We are in an ever-changing global society, and my students need to have access to computers.
Without computer skills, their options for the future are limited.
These students use many computer programs to promote learning. Having more computers allows for more access and time on the computer. This can help everyone from the English Language Learner to the gifted student.
We also assess on computers, so in order for students to make gains on assessments laptops are imperative. These kids are motivated to learn, and with the correct materials they are provided greater opportunities to succeed.
