Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students this year are an amazing group of students that love to create and explore. They are particularly good at Math which is a blessing for me. They embrace the challenges that I set forth and while they may not always meet them, they do learn a lot about how they can go about meeting it the next time.

They are a very inquisitive bunch that likes to learn about the world around them, how it works, and how it relates to them directly.

Having this project funded will be a great way to start giving them this knowledge.

My Project

Our school is fortunate to have 3 Robo 3D printers. We use them for boosting our K-8 STEM Program. Our students are currently making projects for Science, Science Olympiad competitions and exploring 3D design.

Unfortunately, we do not have enough laptops to run all 3D printers at once.

Our district does not have the available funds to buy these computers. Having these computers will help the students at my school become technological leaders in my school and future schools that they will attend. They will also be using these 3D printers to design and print math manipulatives for the teachers that request them. Some examples of these will be dice, fraction pie slices, tape diagrams, and parts for Science Olympiad projects.
