This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Working in a high poverty elementary school may seem very challenging, especially in the area of Math and Science. Our school consists of English as Second Learners, African Americans, Caucasians, Special Needs students, as well as our critical thinking gifted students. However, I truly believe that socioeconomic should not play a role in the lives of our students. “It’s not where you are, but where you are going.”
Our students will be truly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic due to school closure.
I truly believe that with the necessary resources, students can easily reach their target.
My Project
This school year has been extremely difficult due to COVID 19 and the lack of up-to-date technology. I have spent countless hours researching ways to convert files that can easily be embedded into the curriculum and accessible to all learners. This method could easily led to teacher burnout.
By donating to our project, I will be able to provide instruction effectively to all students regardless of the instructional platform that was chosen.
I truly believe that having the right technology can limit the amount of time on preparation and enhance quality of the lesson.
